The two storey residence sits upon a generous sloping block with panoramic views of Catherine Hill Bay. Our brief was to provide a design for a generous sized residence without compromising views, natural cross flow ventilation and access of natural light.
Our approach in resolving these limitations was to divide the upper levels of the residence in two, with circulation and access to the lower levels at the centre. This allowed us to create a seperation in built form down the centre of the residence, ensuring that the living spaces received access to northern daylight and views to the ocean, whilst not compromising on privacy.
The lower levels open out to a stepped external deck which leads down to the pool which sits perched looking out over the ocean.
