Gregson Avenue is a town-house development located in Mayfield West, Newcastle. The development consists of three two storey attached dwellings. Our approach to the project was to design a cost effective development which departs from the conventional aesthetic of a townhouse development.
The use of lightweight materials to the second storey creates a departure from the heavy brick base. The colour scheme also emboldens this departure.
Due to the cost effective nature of this type of development, contrast was our approach. Contrast provides a sense of depth and dimension, without compromising the efficiencies afforded of standard construction.
Our desire is that this development would provide a unique sense of character to the street frontage.
